,-5462 HE faculty of the Oberlin College, Conservatory, and Theolog, numbering 151 members, is one of the finest in the country. Many of its members are doing special research work, writing books, and lecturing in addition to teaching courses. A number of them are mentioned in Whois Who. Two have recently come from abroadg one was Minister of lVlinorities in post-war Hungary, the other was head of the Philosophy department at the University of Prague. This year we have had with us as a visiting lecturer one of the world's most eminent archaeologists. Several have been very successful in the literary field: one was presented with the Book of tl1e Nlonth Club in 1937, and another has been honored for a number of his books, the latest of which is a best-seller, by the Religious Book of the Month. An authority on architecture has given a series of weekly lectures at the Metro- politan MUSCIIIH of Art in New York between his Oberlin classes. Another professor divides his time between Oberlin and Washington, where he holds a position 011 the National Defense Council.
