It was used for Commence- ment gatherings ztnd other large meetings, until the First Church was built. It was one hundred feet in diamel er and enclosed three thousand penyge. During 1842 and 1843 it was spread by the students each Sabbath for services. It was purchased y an anti-slavery society and was carried through the country for holding mass meetings.
