President HThe President's Messagen Dear Fellow Students: In my short stay at Oakwood College, I have become aware of the emergency of a sagacious, exuberant, deferential, NNew Breedn of students comprising the student body. New records are set every year in athletic, academic, and artistic spheres. Today's WNew Breedn is younger than past generations doing college work, and there is a high degree of autonomy, tenacity, and resoluteness. Compared with past generations, they are stronger physically and more alert mentally. I wish to draw an analogy in collective reference of the student as a tall, stalwart youth with bulging biceps, throbbing with strength. The challenge to the HNew Breedn today is to put this powerful anatomical structure to work in God's vineyard. Continue to develop physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually. May an elevating spirit accompany you as you go out to penetrate the psychological barriers of the mundane mind and substitute celestial themes. God bless you.
