Jt orewor r After seventy-two years of successful operation, we can testify of the rapid growth and expansion of Oakwood College. Founded in 1896 as the Oakwood Industrial School, it later developed as a Senior Liberal Arts College ac- credited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and approved by the Seventh-day Adventist Board of Regents. It is also a member of the United Negro College Fund. The staff of the 1968 Acorn has chosen as its theme Progress.
