February 11,1978 was a night filled with excitement and one that will surely be remembered for a long time to come. The Future Homemakers of America put many hours of hard work together and opened the doors upon this year's Sweetheart Dance. Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves to the music of the band “Misty,” but when 10 o’clock came all eyes were turned to coronation. While the band played the theme “You Light Up My Life,” our reigning queen, Cathy Bantz, crowned the 1978 queen Linda Lucas. It was truly a magic moment that will be long rembered by Linda!
