Oakwood High School students have demonstrated the ability, and knowledge that will be useful in the years to come. Knowledge can only be turned into wisdom when tempered with common sense and a deep conviction to do your best. The Seniors of 1973 have been witnesses to an era of confusion and open hostility to some of the basic principles of a democratic society, but they weathered the storm well. Dedication We the Acorn Staff of 1972-73 wish to dedicate this yearbook to a woman whom we feel greatly deserves it. She began her teaching career at Oakwood High School in 1969. She has taught Shorthand I and II, Office Practice, Typing 1, Recordkeeping, and Consumer Education. She has also, been an advisor to Oak News and Annual Staff. She is both a friend and teacher to the students of O. T. H.S. It is our honor and privilege to dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Janice Meharry.
