THE 1968 ACORN Presented by the OAKWOOD TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL ACORN STAFF FITHIAN, ILLINOIS THE 1968 ACORN STAFF Co-Editors........... Assistant Editors . . . . Business Manager . . . Pat Mullins Rhonda Sohramm . . Harlan Brown Mark Crawford Mark Jones DEDICA TION We, the Acorn Staff of 1967-1968, would like to dedicate the 1968 Acorn to Mr. Kenneth Hartrick. We feel that a person who gives his time in so many areas deserves recognition. Mr. Hartrick has taught at Oakwood Township High School for three years. He has taught Social Problems, Physical Education, Driver’s Training, and has coached football, baseball, and basketball. He has lead our team through both victory and defeat. When faced with defeat, he has always been prepared to face a new conquest. We feel that it is both an honor and a privilege to dedicate this annual to such a worthy man. 3 t-1 -V. -s. ‘ -s 1 OY MESS AGE FROM OVR SUPERINTENDENT We at Annual Staff feel that Mr. Harrigan has completed his first year as Superintendent very successfully. We wish him luck in future years at OTHS. To the Graduating Class of 1968, these past four years have been trying as well as triumphal times. One of the many goals of life has been reached. To the Underclassmen returning, smaller, though no less important, goals have been gained, and in both groups a great step forward has been taken. Each is on the threshhold of a new, exciting and vigorous future which holds much for all of us in our everchanging world. To accept this challenge for further work, study and happiness is to attain even greater goals in our lives, bringing with these goals satisfaction to ourselves and progress for our society.
