SENIOR CLASS The big day! Ninety-one somewhat hesitant, but eager-to-learn, Freshmen entered the doors of Oakwood High. We were treated'' to an Initiation Party, at which we secretly enjoyed all of the attention we received! We chose as our officers: President Dale Knapp, Vice-President Tom Goodwine, Secretary Lockie Swengel, and Treasurer Linda Scott. Pat Tanner was chosen as our Homecoming Attendant. Our representatives to the Student Council were Steve Barnes, Sam Johnson, Lockie Swengel, and Pat Tanner. We were proud to have Sue Oakwood and Pat Tanner elected as Jr. Varsity Cheerleaders. Then it was our turn! We had the pleasure of initiating the little greenies. Our officers were Don Gary, Ed McClure, Pat Tanner, and Margaret Hays. Pat Tanner was again chosen as our Homecoming Attendant. Sue and Pat were re-elected as cheerleaders and were joined by Brenda Cox and Marsha Miller. Our Student Council Representatives were Fred Schafer, Brenda Cox, Sam Johnson, and Lockie Swengel. Just two more years! Our Junior year was a great one. We received our class rings and sponsored the Fall Play, Time Out for Ginger. We gave the Seniors a prom centered around the theme Moments to Remember. To guide us through the year we elected Ed McClure, Tom Goodwine, Lockie Swengel and Margaret Hays. Gloria Thompson represented our class in the Homecoming Court. Our Student Council Representatives were Margaret Hays, Steve Barnes, Ed McClure, and Fred Schafer. We were quite fortunate to have all of the Varsity Cheerleaders from our class. They were Brenda Cox, Marsha Miller, Sue Oakwood, and Lockie Swengel. Also, three of the council officers were from the Junior Class--Vice-President Sam Johnson, Secretary Lockie Swengel, and Treasurer Brenda Cox. Seniors at last! It certainly was a busy and profitable year. Tom Flener, Tom Goodwine, Mary Jane Cole, and Larry Sperry were our class officers. Marsha Miller was crowned queen of the Homecoming Dance. Her attendants were Tonda Brinegar, Brenda Cox, and Gloria Thompson. Brenda, Marsha, and Sue were reelected to the Varsity Cheerleading Squad. Our Council representatives were Virginia Duke, Margaret Hays, Steve Barnes, and Ed McClure. Sam Johnson and Brenda Cox were, respectively, elected President and Secretary of the Student Council. We take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to all of our advisors. Without their patience and help, our years at O.T. H.S. wouldn't have been nearly so enjoyable. 10
