DeaTh Took iTs Toll in I933. when Two of our members, Farel Banfz and Harold Smoof, passed away. During our sophomore and iunior years we clisfinguished ourselves in aThleTics, dramaTics and leadership. - Our class of sixfy members, The largesf group of graduafes in The hisfory of The school, has had a busy year. We. Togefher wiTh The faculfy, played hosf To The class of I935 on Ocfober IO. l935, as a Token of appreciaTion for The loud-speaking ap- parafus which The graduaTing class had lefT us. On December I4, I935, we sponsored a successful carnival. We enferfained The Juniors aT a parfy on December 20. I935. The ouTsTanding feafure of The evening was a Chrisfmas exchange. The remainder of The evening was spenT aT cards and dancing. The class sponsored Two all-school par- Ties, To which sTuclenTs were allowed To invife guesfs. The parTies were well-affended. On The evenings of May IsT and 2nd, I936, The class presenfed The play. He Was a Gay SenoriTa. There we see Gene -l-larT sTiII going sTrong afTer a few hours of filibusTering , while The differenf members in The Senafe lamong whom are Bill' Grimes and Virgil SmiThl have long since given up any prefense of inTeresT. lWe have seen in The newspaper ThaT James Davis is campaigning for The office of presidenf of The Unifed STaTes.l We waiT impaTienTly Through The resT of The speech and hurry ouT inTo The sTreeT where The Taxi-driver, Harvey Schneider, was Told To waiT. We are hailed by James Myers, now The proud fafher of James, Jr., and a Tireless Talker on child psychology. We wiTh- draw as soon as iT is polifely possible and insTrucT our driver To hasTen To a deparT- menT sTore of his own choosing. As The elevaTor boy, Carlile Wafkins, Takes us To The Top floor we discuss The happy marriage of Eva Cox-buT here we are aT The Top floor. Lo and behold! There's Freida Reeder. She's evidenfly modeling gowns for ThaT wealThy socieTy dame-why, bless my soul, iT's Carmel CarTerl Before long we leave The sTore and are driven To The airporT, where our piloT. Don Duke, alerTly awaiTs our insTrucTions. IT is dark when we end our journey, and we go To a celebrafed nighf club, where Wilma Wilson, The blues singer , is performing. The head-waiTer, Raymond Duke. direcTs us To our favorife Table. The Masfer of Ceremonies, Orville GuTTerridge, announces The nexT number, a Tap-dance feafuring Marian Ray, wiTh The musical accompanimenf of Cliff CronkhiTe's Champions. The pianisT is Dorofhy Michael-noT a bad job she's doing, eiTher. Having finished an excellenf meal, The doorman, David Cole, bids us good evening as we deparf. Then, speeding down The sTreeT, we see a new-fangled fire Truck. As our driver makes way for iT we caTch a glimpse of The dignified fire chief. Can iT be-iT IS Russell Hen- dricksonl LaTer on we break in on a parTy aT Eileen VanAllen's sTudio. There's Louise Alberf wiTh a flock of sTill-eligible bachelors craving her aTTenTion. Why, one of Them is Cloyd McFarland! There's Josephine DyserT, famous aufhoress of ThaT new book, SophisTicaTed Senior.
