Perhaps senior high girls composing modern dances will never be Isadora Duncans, but they will have developed appreciation for this branch of the fine arts. Respect of this same type will be engendered in budding opera stars from the choir and in imaginative artists enrolled in painting classes at the Dayton Art Institute. Practical skills are another valuable part of our training. Home economics courses instruct future homemakers and dietitians. Industrial arts teaches useful basic mechanics. Sports such as golf, tennis, and basketball provide healthful exercise now and will continue to be enjoyed after we graduate from high school. For future jobs, for relaxation, for appreciation-the skills we learn today will steer us toward a more successful tomorrow.
