In Memoriam We dedicate the 1954 ACORN to the memory of Thomas Dickson Brown, whom seniors for years have deeply admired and respected. Beloved Dean of Boys, teacher of civics and economics, and adviser of the Junior Council on World Affairs, Captain Brown guided Oakwood students for twenty-five years by being an unfailing example of the good citizenship and service that he taught. His delightful sense of humor and his cane and mallet will be missed by all, but his influence upon the students will live forever. ' G
