They won firsT place in The Oakville TournamenT and Took Third in The SouThwesT Subur- ban League TournamenT. We are noT doing as well as we had expecTed To do, com- menTed Debbie Johnson. Howev- er, There were a number of girls on The Team ThaT broke school, local, and sTaTe records and were also ranked among The areas besT. They were Laurie Aldy wiTh The mosT assisTs and sTeals, Sam Bu- ford wiTh The mosT poinTs and leading rebounder, Lisa Allen leading in assisTs and scoring, and Missy Meinburg wiTh The mosT block shoTs. PracTices were long and hard, buT varied aT The same Time. PracTices Took up a loT of Time buT were helpful in The end, re- plied Margie Beck. Laurie Aldy believed, MosT of The sTarTers have been TogeTher for four years and our senior year should be The besT. G-ood defense helped The Team esTablish a perfecf home record CIT - Oy.
