The VarsiTy wresTling Team has worked hard To improve Their re- cord This season. The Team had only Two former varsiTy wresTlers, and To develop a whole new squad, The mem- bers had To learn abouT paTience and Time. CapTains Tony NicasTro and STeve HorTon worked well wiTh The newly joined members from The J.V. squad. STeve HorTon commenTed abouT The season, WresTling can only be whaT you puT inTo iT. We had To work exTra hard from The sTarT, and wiTh ev- eryone cooperaTing and wanTing a vicTory, we accomplished whaT we had sTarTed ouT To do. The VarsiTy squad ended Their regular season of maTches wiTh an eighT and Two record. By beaTing lvlehlville by Ten poinTs, iT helped The Team gain confi- dence and success in winning 80? of Their maTches. Also The Two mosT improved wresTlers from lasT year's squad Senior STeve Durban and Sophomore Don STaden added To The spiriT and improvemenT of The Team This season. The whole Team worked To- geTher To Take The DisTricT TiTle away from five oTher schools. Nine members from The Team wenT To SecTionals To compeTe wiTh oTher Teams. Oakville pro- duced six sTaTe grapplers.
