This year The run- ning Tigers have Two Teams con- sisTing of boys, under The supervi- sion of Mr. Schimpf, and girls wiTh Coach DenneTT. The capTains are senior, Mike Heilich, and junior, Robin Wensler and Terri FlaherTy as co-capTain. The newesT coach, Mr. DenneTT replied, Ev- eryone envolved puTs forTh an excellenT efforT. AlThough They are Two separaTe Teams, They pulled TogeTher wiTh combined efforTs To make The ouTsTanding Team They are. This year wiTh Their long, hard pracTices The coaches did make some Top-noTch runners. Joe Fuchs learned from Coach Schimpf ThaT, Runners are made noT porn. Senior, Mike Heilich, The mosT valuable player, wenT To all- conference and seT a new school course record for 3.4 miles in 47:20 minuTes. Along wiTh his oTh- er achievemenTs, he compeTed aT secTionals. Also aTTending sec- Tionals was The enTire girls Team. This year's girls Team was The pesT ever, bragged Coach Schimpf. Along wiTh being The pesT Team They are The youngesT ever. Because of cross counTry's suc- cess, Oakville's Team is well known in running circles.
