Sophomore Rich Minda shows off his true self-image. Freshmen Scott Rlug catches a pop fly. Starting the season off with sev- en smashing wins, the Junior Varsity Baseball Tigers played tough through a hard season. i'We were awesome-we played the games and we won, ex- claimed sophomore player Rich Minda. After Spring break the J.V. Tigers lost a few games but closed out the season with a 14 and 6 re- cord. Those few losses never brought us dovim, we kept push- ing and working as a team, commented freshmen Todd Mor- gan. l'After all of the practice and hard work put in, they did good. added Coach Mr. John Poldan. Proud of his '87 Tiger attack, Mr. John Poldan, coach, felt that this was an improving year for the J.V. team and is looking forward to the aspects of the 1988 team. Besides doing really well at the game, we made a lot of good friends and improved our skills of working as a team, continued sophomore pitcher Brad Burton. Figuring that their practicing paid off this year, the Junior Var- sity Baseball Tigers all agree that this year was worth it and will work doubly hard in the future. ,gi 1 watt yf Aa . Al- though the first few games seemed to be shakey, they pulled together and made things happen. We had a true family atmosphere that really helped in the troubled times. Everyone was so close, remarked junior Amy Mueller. Practices were long and hard, but they evidently paid off. Mr. Robben always had us mnning and working on our skills, but we didn't mind. I'le's a coach who cares for us and wants the best from us, commented senior Tracy Schmitt. Throughout the season, the Var- sity Soccer team showed the de- sire to overcome whatever chal- lenge they were faced with. The results weren't always what they wanted, but it was the teamwork that counted. 'iEvery game we grew closer and closer. I really hated to see the season end, declared senior Julie Stratmann.
