Ulvlay- be I beTTer sTarT eaTing a big- ger breakfasT. Do you Think ThaT mighT heIp? This could be a word of advice for some of us. Maybe we should Tell Brian Rinck abouT This since his word of advice is Take easier classes. You don'T have To sTudy and sTill geT an A. While on The oTher hand, Richelle Hohl kiddingly said, 'Il wish I would have sTudied more 'cause now I'm bummin'. I should have worried abouT iT, buT I was having fun, High school is fun. IT has lusT Taken some of us longer To re- alize iT. l'm having The besT Time of my Iife, exclaimed Rhonda Bridges wiTh a smile from ear To ear. 'll Think I would have missed ouT on a loT if I wouldn'T have changed schools IasT year and goTTen involved. Wlshingly, Darline OgenT sTaTed, 'Ilf only I would have Taken C.O.E., I had enough crediTs, Then I could have goT- Ten a job insTead of borrowing money from my mom. We have so much To look forward To: a career, family, and hopefully fulfilling ThaT one big dream we always had Tucked away deep inside. Four years may seem like a long Time To geT ready for whaT is ahead. Could we have Taken one more class and worked a IiTTle harder? Or are we going To pay 5,000 dollars To go To college and Take classes we could have Taken during high school? IT was our decision. John Schnurbusch wishes he would have made plans earlier when he sTaTed, I should have Taken all six hours To fill up my free educaTion. I could have gone so much farTher in life, buT no one Told me. 120 - Seniors

Laura Lodike Daniel Loeffelman Diane Loffon Dawn Lombardo MarTy Luker Linda Lunie Sherri LuTher Chris Maloney Dana Maloney Joyce Maloney x T. I- fl xa R Meanwhile . EighTeen years laTer Many people claim They would never bring a child inTo This world due To The Turmoil and economic sTaTus. lf This was a Typical feeling among couples in 4965 and 4966, There would be no senior class. Turmoil was an undersTaTe- menT for The sTaTes of America in 4965 and 4966. While we were being born, The counTry was fighTing one of iTs mosT un- popular wars, VieTnam. 'il final- ly realized ThaT some of my friends were acfually going To war, recalled Ms. Maupin. I Violence was abundanT during I 4966 wiTh The slaying of eighf sTudenT nurses and The shooT- I ing massacre from The bell Tower aT The UniversiTy of Tex- as. The civil righTs movemenT provoked many rioTs and con- ' I Troversies. Like Today There were noT only doleful buT happy Times. I Jobs were more abundanT. Dr. Schindler remembered uTeachers were in demand in 4965 and 4966 and someday iT Lwill be ThaT way again. During 4965 and 4966 new discoveries in space were abundanT. ln 4965 The UniTed STaTes en- counTered iTs firsT walk in space. On April 6, 4965, The firsT commercial communica- Tions saTelliTe, Early Bird, was launched and placed in orbiT. Spacial developmenT was noT The only advancemenT of The Times, buT There were also medical developmenTs. One imporTanT advancemenT hap- pened on AugusT 8, 4966, as The firsT successful arTificial hearT pump was insTalled. WiTh These new medical ad- vancemenTs people were able To live longer. As people grew older, The auesfion of, Does hisTory repeaT iTself? al- ways enTers our minds. Looking back To 4965 and 4966, we may find some answers. EvenTs occurring in 4965 and 4966 are happening again dur- ing our senior year. Desegre- gaTion was a major conTrover- sy of The Times when we were born, ofTen resulTing in rioTs and demonsTraTions. Mr. Skinner re- flecTs on how The aTTiTudes of people in 4965 differ from The aTTiTudes of people now. l-le said, ln 4965 The aTTiTudes of desegregaTion were filled wiTh violence compared To The nonvioIenT acTiviTy in 4984 ln January The TransporTaTion Workers Union wenT on sTrike in New York resulTing in The sub- Tracfion of subways and buses. USSR was Turning down TreaTies To prevenT The spread of nu- clear weapons. Even music is repeaTing iTself wiTh Bob Dylan and The sounds of The BeaTles. WiTh The evidence of reoc- currences many parenTs may fear for The child's fuTure. Mrs. Weldele replies, I never really worried abouT Doug's fuTure unTil his friend had To sign up for The drafT. There is no way of predicTing The fuTure of The UniTed STaTes. We jusT have To accepT The good wiTh The bad, and hope for The sake of our descendenTs ThaT only The good is repeaTed. 422 - Seniors
