TO THE SENIUBS OF '15 The Junior class of '45 Wcicfoas today you Seniors of Hakville Hia Txat we may closer draw Dun irigndehip circle than of yore. Yovz nigh school days have ended Ani we are truly saddened your years have made close friendship as no other way could do. This year our country needs us Such as no other year has done before us, Each his part must do No matter great or small it be. Wherever we may go This friendship circle still may grow, Though around the world it be Another friend may there be added. But when a minutes pause does come Between the pressing duties countless A picture vivid as only life could be Stands out before us there. of friends we've met at Oakville Hi . Richard ---- a smile that brightens The grayest spot on earth And leaves us there transfixed, Jerry, shortened from Geraldine A girl who knows what time does mean and every minuQ.dd53'5h9 ugg That she her work may finished finds David, if a job should do today, will GO tomorrow just as well. Prrhaps he works when no che looks but when we ask, just then? v . Thelma, earnest, quick and resolved ' To do the work before her set, In office the school about One wonders does she ever play? And when Ray does like a vision appear He seems to say my works all dove .MIL And with a shrug of shoulders moves on. What else is there to do but play? Oh yes! another Senipr lOl, appears Beverly, and oh! of course we canft forget In study hall so often ---- seen You know the rest. 1 Paul, his mind intent on work Which one can but admire, with lessons always done on time No teacher needs to ask ----- NAre I lessons done?' Another Senior so quiet and serene Sylvia, her mind intent upon her book In study hall at work----for A book to her is a treasure true. And last but not least is Russel For who would dare deny that He could rule everything That his heart desires. .' Beverly was a yell leader and some of the boys took active part in athletics during their Sophomore year. A Time rolled around again and we found ourselves Juniors. It was a success so we started thinking about the Junior-Senfor banquet which we gave January 19, 1944. We chose an early date for the banquet as many of the seniors left in thhe middle of the year. - Our crowning success of the year was the publishing of the Annual. A V Our first activity was held on September 21, 1945. Thhaseniors took off on their sneak. We spent the day on Hood Canal and the evening in Olympia with dinner, movie, and bowling, and then home. Oh such a day! We gave the annual Senior Mixer on September 29th. The school had a rest on October the 5th for that is the day we had our pictures taken. Our thanks to the Juniwrs for the swell banquet they ggve xsnoaour honor in January. Geraldine Connors and Ray Damitio left in lid-yearto start their out-of-high school careers. Joe Gatchell had already left, after a few weeks of school. He joined the Merchant Marines. The Annual, pictures were taken and the seniors needed more offiars so we elected some to fill the vacancies. They were: vice-pres1dent--- David Isaccson and secretary-treasurer--Thelma Ames. - H At last we've reached our goal. Graduation is an occasionfwe have looked forward to for twelve long years. Nine of us will receive Ali- plomas the 24th of May. As we say farewell we hope that all the cother classes will have just as much fun and success as we, the class of 1945 has had during the four years of high school.
