TLEITZ, llfgll Srhonl l'1'inr1'p11l A Message on Loyalty Faithfulness in all thingsfto friends, promises, duty, or country-is a quality greatly needed in the world today. The Board of Education is glad that the staff and sponsor of the Puiuseoric have recognized this need and emphasized it by choosing Loyalty as the theme of this yearls publication. The same devotion to duty which has made this book a suecess should be of great service to these young people in the coming years. In all the hurry and bustle of getting out the PERIscoPE, little thought. is given by subscribers and advertisers to the loyalty of the staff and the fine work of its sponsor. The Board of Education extends greetings to the 1938 Staff and knows that this issue will measure up to standards of other years. For the Board, Ro1sr:R'r G. S'rRoUn, Pl'0.9I'Ill'IIff Board ol: Education Talks Things Over The welfare of the school boys and girls of Oakmont is in the hands of this group of men, the administrators of the Oakrnont sehool system. As the enrollment of pupils and teachers increased, the niernbersliip grew from five rnenibers in 1889 to its present size. They meet at least once a month to discuss school problems and methods of improving the prescnt school system. EMMANUICL Wooomcas Romcwr G. S'I'lt1ll'lJ, Ill'C,,I-lll'Ill Cam, II. Fam' J. H.
