PrincipaTs Message Dear Seniors: First, let me express my appreciation to each of you for the impressive support tiiat you as a class have given our school. As you break the bonds that tie you as a class and go your separate ways, take tliree things with you, and your stay here will have been suc- cessful. The first of these things is self- discipline. Self- discipline is the thing wliich makes a man do what must be done to enable him to become a productive citizen. Secondly, pride, the intangible that causes you to take care of yourself and those around you and look the world in the eye, is the thing which makes you proud that you are a part of your church, your family, and your country-. Tliis pride comes only when you become a contributing part of these things. Last--but not least-- is love. Your love for God is ex- pressed through your worship experience wliich brings about inner peace and joy that only comes from this t ' pe of love. You must have love for our coimtry and for the principles upon which it was founded- - with a desire to kee p these principles. You must have love for your fellowman, a respect for God ' s creation, and an imier desire to serve. Hub Dotson, Principal 13

Superintendent ' s Message Dear Seniors: Thank you for asking me to write in your Annual, It is always a genuine pleasure to talk witli young people like you. If you are interested in being a successful person, I would like for you to read carefully the Ten Command- ments of Success and then practice them faithfully. Try it and soon you will find yourself improving. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF SUCCESS 1. WORK HARD. Hard work is the best investment a man can make. 2. STUDY HARD. Knowledge enables a man to work more intelligently and effectively. 3. HAVE INITIATIVE. Ruts often deepen into graves. 4. LOYE YOUR WORK. Then you will find pleasure in mastering it. 5. BE EXACT. Slipshod methods bring slipshod results. 6. HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CONQUEST. Thus you can successfully battle and overcome difficulties. 7. CULTIVATE PERSONALITY. Personality is to a man what perfume is to a flower. 8. HELP AND SHARE WITH OTHERS. The real test of business greatness lies in giving opportunity to others. 9. BE DEMOCRATIC. Unless you feel right towards your fellowmen you can never be a successful leader of men. 10. IN ALL THINGS DO YOUR BEST. The man who has done less than his best has done nothing. The man who has done his best has done ever ' thing. Life ' s greatest adventure is in doing your very best. Robert E. Cunningham Superintendent 12
