dedication mr. walier 1. walsh for ihree years oakland 'iechnical high school has been 'ihe cenier of our aciiviiy, 'rhe nucleus of our lives. one person, mr. walier 'L walsh, above all oihers, siands ou'r in our minds as giving unlimiied service and devoiion fo 'l'he siudeni' body. we the staff of the 1954 talisman dedicate this book to the memory of mr. walsh who won, tlw heart of everyone who knew him. mr. walsh who came io i'ech'in I946 iaughi radio shop, p. a., and elecironics. aside from his 'reaching duiies, mr. walsh sponsored The chess club, 'ihe chinese club, ihe p. a. crew, ihe radio club, and fhe phoiography club. he was always willing 'io help wiih exiracurricular ac- iiviiies. while ai' iech, mr. walsh aH'ended every school picnic, including ihe dux picnics and ihe senior picnics. he also supplied +he public address sysiem for ihe ouidoor assemblies. in dedicaiing 'ihis book fo mr. walsh, we feel ihai ii' is ihe besf memorial we can give him, for ii' porirays ihe 'rype of life ihai he helped io build for ihe siudenis of oakland 'iechnical high school.
