With Sue Miller as president ofthe class, jack Hocking assisting her as vice- president and secretary, janet Austin and Bill Wythe as boys' and girls' treasurer, respectively, we have enjoyed a full and happy term. A colorful Senior Day, the Senior Banquet and Senior Prom brought our last term to a close.. We graduate. SUSAN MILLER, President, JACK HOCKING, Vice-President, IANET AUSTIN, Girls Treasurer BILL WYTHE, Boys Treasurer, DAVE MOWAT, Editor of Senior Memories. - .... siis. , v Q1 SENIOR MEMORIES BEGINNING THE DAY 92 FALL '32 REVIEWED EVENTS V1 A U1 A U' NTERINC another chapter into Technical's Book V N of Records, the December graduating class of '32 V V i ' N passes on, leaving behind many colorful events, glamourous happenings, and pleasant memories of I I I , classmates and studies. This book of memories has been created in order that in years to come, the graduate may turn the cover and bring back old remembrances of high school days. With the capable work of Miss Ciladys Elam, to whom credit is given for the beautiful art work expressed throughout the book, and lVliss lessie Smith, of despair, the editorial staff of this book has en- deavored to bring forth a book which will fill the qualifications of a semi-annual that is to be cher- ished among other precious souvenirs. This term, on account of added vacations, was composed of only eighteen weeks. Eighteen short weeks, hardly time to get settled, but still time to make this semester a joyful one. Oscar Williams was elected to preside over the student body, and his cabinet was composed of Kirk Carretson, vice presi- dent of the student body, Ida Noack, head of the girls' league, jean Williams, commissioner of finance, Fred Craten, commissioner of traffic, Roger Ander- son, commissioner of publications, Russell Garcia, commissioner of social activities, Arthur Irish, commissioner of maintenance, jane Peterson, social secretary, Irene Christiansen, commissioner of honor activities, and Vincent Francioli, yell leader. A X V I I I F K' N f Q whose literary guidance gave new hopes in times I Ili flfl' ln the field of sports, starring football, Technical, on account of lacking more varsity material, was unable to place very high in the final scores, but, in spite of this difficulty, it rose from the depths to third from the bottom. The East-West game, which ended in a scoreless tie, and the high senior foot- ball game, also scoreless, are examples of red-blooded contests. Other events of the school which claim recognition are: Open House Night, the opera The Bells of Capistrano, the Dux Dinner, Honor Society Picnic, The Oakland Press Honor Society Dinner at Roosevelt High School, a skating party, given by the Hi-Y Club, and many dances. Because of limited space, we must close this review of our school events and trust that those who peer within our book may enjoy its contents as we have enjoyed editing them.
