But now that the time has arrived we stop, think, and wonder What is ahead of us in the years to come: and also we remember that never again, no mat- ter what way of life we choose, will We be able to relive these last three years of our high school life. , It is with the deepest sincerity and gratitude that we, the members of the Ianuary 1949 class, dedicate this Oaken Bucket to our friend and counselor, Mrs. Helen Stacey. We Wish to express our thanks to Mrs. Stacey for the unselfish Way in which she has given us help and guidance Whenever we have needed it, for we realize that whatever success We gain in the future years, whether it be large or small, Mrs. Stacey is one of the persons to whom We owe our grateful thanks. So, in closing the book of our high school life, We say thank you, Mrs. Stacey, and farewell. ACNQWLEDGMENT The editor Wishes to express her thanks to her staff and to everyone who made the publishing of this Oaken Bucket possible, especially Mr. Paul Brazelton, Fontes Printing Companyp Mr. William Thurlow, California Art and Engraving Company, Mrs. Helen Wood and staff of Austin Studios, and Mr. Charles Miles, faculty adviser. Without the help of these people the Oaken Bucket would never have become a reality. Student CE1lJi1'1E't MISS RUTH E. MASON MR. PAUL W. PINCKNEY Vice Principal Principal DR. WILLIAM D.
