A MQWHQSAM W L. As seconds run into minutes, and minutes into months and years, the time of our stay at Oakland High School shortens. Now, graduation is the next step, and we, the class of Iune 1940, must face it. Our high school life has been brought to a close, but the fond memories of it will long linger. Our various studies, classes, and activities taught us a keener knowledge, a wish for greater height in lite, and an appreciation for our high school. We owe our great- est debt to Miss Eugenie Leonard and Miss Mary I-lauverman. Their ever tireless I MISS MARY HAUVERMAN advice and assistance during these past three years have guided us on the right paths ot lite many times. Our future lives will be bettered by having known such understanding counselors and friends. To them, it is a privilege and an honor to dedicate this Oaken Bucket And now, so that We might bet- ter remember them and the many other thoughts that will linger in our minds, We publish this book hoping that it will possibly keep closer the time of our lives as high school students, a time of enjoyable minutes.
