EUGENE STACHOWITZ Hi-Y Music Club Boys' State 1950 Science Club Baseball Track Stocky Stocky is the president of the Senior Classg he has been a most capable one. His best friend is Edward Mroz of the Junior CUSS. His favorite subject is mathematics, but science is a close second. He is one of the most popular boys in high school. He plans to go to college and study engineering. If he has a heart interest, he has kept it secret. Our class is fortunate in having Stocky as a member. We wish him luck in the future. H Secretary '48-'49 Music Club Treasurer '48-'49 Band Washy Lael is one of our ,charter members: she came in the first grade and has been the leading pianist of the school since sixth grade. Her plans are completed for attending Syracuse University and going on with her study of music. She is one of the honor stu- dents and bright shining stars of our class. She has always been co-operative when we needed a good accompanist and saved numberless programs for us. ' The world is sweeter because of music and in this, we know Lael will give more than her share. 13

Whenever there is a program, she always sings willingly for us because that is what she does best. Her hobby is to ride - it doesn't matter if it is a horse or a motorcycle, She has so many boy friends we cannot keep track of their tense - present, past, or future. She hopes to be a model and we are all sure she will go far - even if it is in her boy friend's hot rod . Secretary '50-'51 Baseball Carlos Carl Michael, dubbed Carlos, became a member of our class when we were in the sixth grade. Ever since that day Carl has been our class artist, he has a great talent in this field. He is a happy companion, cheery classmate, and a great humorist, He is interested in the U. S. Navy because he is in the re- serves and expects to be called to duty soon. He is very popular with both sexesg in fact, not only the students but also the faculty.
