Junior Class Histor The Junior Class started out this year with twenty-five members and Mr. Hemm and Mr. Robins as advisers. Three students--Barbara Knierim, Holland Hutchins, and Nancy Whittaker-- have transferred. We elected the following class officers: President ................. Mona Lou Gildersleeve Sergeant-at-Arms .......... lhornas Bean Shary Perrault was Chosen carnival princess and Bill Spencer her escort. December 12, the Junior Class gave the play, Aunt Cathie's Cat. Un- doubtedly it was very successful and the mention of the play still, brings a smile to those who attended. We are planning to put on an amateur hour March 20, and have set the dates of May 8 and 15 for the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. ,Q

We had a very good time initiating the Freshmen. We had them doing rnam unusual things, froni polishing shoes to crawling in the halls We sponsored two parties this year. The first one was held in honor of tl Freshrnen. The second one was held after the Powers basketball game. We also sponsored a turkey raffle to help raise votes for our carnival princess. Frances Heaton was elected as our carnival princess and Gary Hubbard as her escort. They were also chosen carnival queen and king. Our class advisers are Miss Clark and lvlr. Jackson.
