BACK ROW: Judith Hewett, Cole, Stevens, Kendall, Sowell, Clark, Sparks Maddox, D, Traylor, Jean Hewett, Miss Wadsworth, coach, IUDITH HEWETT All-Star The Midgets climaxed a learning season by defeating Yoncalla, who had previously defeated them twice during the regular season, in the district toumament 24-23, and thus enabling themselves to stay in the county play-offs and finally finishing fifth by losing to Reedsport 33-18, Judith l-lewett, the smallest member of the team, gave them a sparkle of glory by being named on the county all-star team, The team started out in a blaze of glory by defeating Sutherlin, but then played their rolls of learning and plugging by losing consecutive games to Gardiner, Elkton, and Drain, Because of their size and continual fightincg spirit against the more experi- enced county teams, they proved to be a crow pleaser, As seven members of the team are seventh graders, their learning season should prove profitable for the coming year.
