I was feeling a little daffy so I went to a psychiatrist There LESTER CINGCADE told me of how he had tried to be a traveling salesman but didn t have the gift for gab Shyness always overcame him so he turned h1s efforts to psychiatry where his gentle qu1et nature gives patients ample relaxation to release the1r frustrations I wasn t really daffy just curlous and it cost me enough to pay the national debt'j The next day we traveled on until we found a small circus There in one of the shows featured as a mam attraction we found LUCY COLE a famous weight lifter In Connecticut THELMA WOLFORD s and WANDA COPELAND s marriages have been so successful that they have been counseling others to help them solve their problems Their slogan is Let Your Troubles Trouble Us See1ng an advertisement for facials that subtract five ten fifteen or twenty years from a person s appearance depending upon the amount one cares to pay I declded to 1 ivesugate I asked to see the manager and originator of the process I was told that VERNON BUNCH was out fighting a law suit because he got his machine mixed up and it had added fifteen years to an elderly dowager s appearance I had the privilege of meet1ng the President of the Un1ted States His secretary looked familiar to me It was BOB SEEHAWER' He was as busy as a beaver and I didn t have much t1me to talk to hun as he had to' be off to beg for some more work to do SHERRON He said he was entering politics and was starting the new Independent Democractlc Republican party designed to oppose the abolishing of pop corn stands in mov1e theatres He appeared qulte prom1s1ng to me My last stop before leaving the States was a seaside town m Florida where I saw BOB HILL teaching English Four beneath the spreading palm trees Next I boarded a boat for P3115 and was greeted by the pilot BOB DANTZLER He had built up a large tourist business He told me he started with a row boat Of course the big fash1on show was on my program of activities The most elebrated des1gner participating was DICK BOVINGDON He specializes 1n evening gowns and wedding dresses Feeling very happy for my classmates I rented a horse and took a canter into the country While r1d1ng down a lonely road I ran onto a sign hangmg from a p1c turesque bulldlng The Slgn read DOROTHY TELGENHOFF Undertaker Fire Chief Postmaster Grocer, Mayor and justice of the peace In fact Diary, the only classmate I didn t see was TRICIA TUTHILL Her last chemistry experiment propelled her to another planet and no doubt she w11l write a book when she gets back She always threatened to be an author Fmding my classmates busy and successful really made me feel good I ll wr1te about the less mteresting details some day when I have time dear Diary , . .. . . . a K As I was leaving the White House, who should I see but my old friend J.
