September 23 , l 966 Dear Diary, I guess I ve slighted you quite a bit lately haven t I? Well it all happened this way Having spent my last three pennies on a stamp to mail my soap contest entry I was somewhat enlightened to find I had won a trip around the world That means I'm going to have to write pages to make up with you My first stop was Hollywood There I found ROBEANA BAILEY, the latest hit on the croon parade She really wowed them, and after shows she was a most successful inventor Her machine for making dirty dishes reflects her love for washing them Much to my surprise I learned I was scheduled to visit a radio program The star was DOUG BROWNSON who held the current World s Champion Bubble Gum Blower title The accompanying award was 2 297 milk shakes Our next stop was at a scientific research lab Seeing all the cute little white mice I wondered where they got them all The manager offered to show us where they were raised It was no shock to find CORLIE COPELAND in charge of the mice She simply adores them As I drove through California I noticed a new shoe factory, but its dispaly wmdow seemed vacant The proprietress SHIRLEY HART explamed that she had processes for a new variety of shoes This footwear is invisible and weightless designed for those who found their sandal straps too bunglesome Looking across the street I saw JODY HASS with a mgnifying glass and a tele scope sneaking along the side of a building m a pair of well chewed moccasins A her favorite English blood hound were tracking lt down While in the deserts of Nevada I came upon a pony express station At the rack DALE ROBERSON was preparing to mount He was so excited to see me he Jumped right over the horse and took off in a cloud of dust for Ft Pennyhankle I hear he arrived an hour early His track days are not over The steed tried to catch hun, but fainted from exhaustion after two miles Q Needing a rest after watching Dale s burst of speed I entered a library in search of quiet relaxation BOBBY SEELY was taking notes from a huge volu.me He was obtaining data for his sixty third novel As they become popular DAVE RICE writes the movie scripts DONNA BEAI-EM frequently plays the romantic leads in these productions Way down on a chicken farm in Oklahoma we found IRENE MCKINNEY and her husband They were busily engrossed with putting Jeweled identification bands on the chickens left legs They now own the nation s highest ranking poultry farm My next stop was Yale where Iwas introduced to the faculty Their most brilliant and promising so they told me professor was RONNE EITTREIM the head mathematician That crew cut always looked so dignified, it certainly fits his position big department store had misplaced its Lost and Found Bureau. Jody and Gerund,
