Art When asked, “What is art?” the art students gave many different responses. “Art comes in different sizes, shapes, colors, and ways. If the world didn’t have art there wouldn’t be a world. Therefore art is simply accepted by different people in different ways.” — Jay Newton. “Art can be anything you make of it, also it expresses ones feelings.” — J. Sabel. “Art is everything. Industrial Arts General Technology is offered to the freshman and in order to take shop you must complete one year of General Technology. Drafting, project work, wood working, metals, welding, computer designing, textbook study, finishing and plastics are some of the shop classes. Energy and power, construction, technology, and processes are the different units available in general technology. Mr. Helm is in charge of all the classes given down in the shop. Above left: T. I HEAR THE SOUND OF INSTRUMENTS “It is quite a change from living in a big city to a small community.” Miss Walters, the new band director, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison. “The high school has quite a few good, energetic, motivated kids with a lot of potential.
