STUDENTS EXPERIENCE I left for Deutschlandjune 24th and spent my summer in Rheidt, a town no larger than Oakfield and not much different. Everyone in Rheidt knew I was the American girl spending the summer with the Modder family and that I spoke no German. Not long after 1 was there I met many people who spoke English and helped me a lot. My host-father owns and operates a farm. My host-mother is a housewife. My 21 year old brother, George, works on the farm and my 20 year old brother, Thomas, also works on the farm and goes to college. My two sisters Sabine, 14, and Ulrike, 11, go to school and during their spare time taught me German and I taught them English. While I was in Germany, I visited many German cities and other countries. I visited Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, and the highlight of my traveling was the weekend I spent in Paris, France with friends. I made many new friends from all different countries and adopted 3 new families. I'll never forget my experience, friends, family, or Germany. Kay with her new friends. Kay s German family.
