Dedication to a Friend 4 1979 saw the Class of 1983 as freshmen, excited about finally being in high school. As the years went by, we had many exciting times at OHS: disecting frogs in Biology, playing train in Geometry class and having our own trial for former President Nixon. Through all these times, though, it has not necessarily been the moments, but the people we've shared them with that have made them special. One person that stands out in the minds of us seniors is Jim Pollock. Through all our years in high school we have been greeted daily by his smiling face and kind remarks. Though not an educator by degree, he has taught us to see life from different views. In appreciation for all the help he has given us, we, the Class of 1983, wish to dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Jim Pollock. He has marked a page in our lives that time will never erase.

Always Somewhere was the theme chosen by the Class of 1983 for their Junior Prom, held May 1, 1982. A New York City skyline provided a beautiful view as guests strolled through the park scene. The Court of Honor was presented at 10:30 in the Grand March. Those who attended were entertained by the group 'Magic'.
