Dedication As we, the seniors of 1969, leave the halls of O.H.S. we would gratefully like to dedicate the annual to a former O.H.S. graduate. Your friendly advice and helpfulness have followed us through our four years at O.H.S. and will continue in our future. Your excellent ability in the science department is greatly admired. It is because of your efforts that we dedicate this 1969 annual to you, Mr. Messner, with our best wishes. 2 School Board Keith Binning, Clerk, Robert Schwanke, Charles John, Peter Seresse, Donald Ogle, President, Daniel Honald. The Impossible Dream A garden scene provided the setting for our Junior Prom, “The Impossible Dream,” held April 20, 1968. The main attraction was a floral archway in the center of the gym under the traditional crystal ball. Rock gardens at each end of the gym and white brick walls completed the evening setting. The highlights of the evening began with the Grand March at 10:30. Jean Schmidt, our class president, presented the crown to King Gerald Holz. He then crowned his queen, Mary Vander Galien. They reigned over the evening event, dancing to the music of the Top Hatters. 32 Dream 33 Foreign Exchange Student Dan Mansbach, Sao Paulo, Brazil Outstanding Teen-Agers John Nolan, Roger Laning, Jeanette Haberkorn D.A.R. and Badger State V.F.W. 34 i« v , •AV' A V' i ’A H:t f v . • r'• t., V :. Following the pep rally, everyone proceeded to Main Street for the big parade, which included the junior and senior bands, floats, important football personnel, and the court members. At 8 o’clock, the Mighty Oaks met the Hustisford Falcons on their home field. The day ended on a victorious note with a 33-0 win over Hustisford. Festivities continued with the dance from 8:30 to 12:30 the following evening. The Grand March, which began at 10:30, was climaxed when King Roger Laning crowned his Queen Jean Schmidt. The court members then danced amid the autumn decorations to the music of the Homecoming theme song, “Cherish,” played by “Two Hits and A Miss.” 1968 Helen Nelson and Jerry Holz CHERISH Sharon Beck and Joe Whyms Donna Shady and Pete Ennis Linda Pfalzgraf and Leo Henke Sharon Hall and Paul Domke Special Dedication Mr. Harold Enloe We, the students and staff of Oakfield High School, would like to make a special dedication to the late Mr. Harold Enloe.
