In the Fall of '72, Mike Bllck and I (Eddie Berber) decided to take a trip to outlying states of Alaska and Hawaii. When we reached the airline office, we were surprised to see Nancy All as ticket clerk. When the time arrived to take off,we were escorted to our seats by our stewardess, Donna Snyder. We saw our pilot, Maurice Towne and our worries about crashing were justified. When we landed In Alaska, compliments of Maurice, we contacted two widely known hunting guides, Jim Hamburgur and Lyle Schrank. After returning to town we found we were short of funds and wanted to find a bank to get some money. As we stepped Into the First National Snowbank of Alaska, we were met by the president, Ron Tlllou, who lent us fifty Ice cubes. We also saw Dick Steffes and his wife Carol Seresse, walking down the street In barrels; It seems they had invested all their money in a sure tan lotion company, which for some mysterious reason went bankrupt. As we walked across the intersection In Fairbanks, we were almost hit by the world famous dog sled champ, Bob Baehler, who was racing with Pam Hartley, who was driving her new compact dog sled. We finally decided to board the ship to Hawaii. On deck we saw Sue Schneider and Kathy Hanna, who Informed us that they were on an around the world cruise with their rich husbands. When we arrived at the deck we were greeted by hula dancers. To our surprise they turned out to be Kathy Reehl, Jill McLean, and Bonnie Messner. While we were walking down Waikiki Beach we spotted two beach boys on surf boards. To our surprise. It was Bob Bat-terman and Bruce Binning. As we were checking into the Hawaiian Village Hotel we noticed that we were being followed.. It turned out to be that famous detective from Hawaiian Ear, Wayne Flury. He was escorting that famous singer at the Kilauea Hotel, Gail Sampson. That night we decided to take In a movie. We bought our tickets from Diane Dewltz. When we were seated we saw Betty Seyfert starring as the Blob .’ After leaving the theater we had time enough to eat. We stopped at Judy and Jo's Hash House, owned by Judy Boeder and Jo Scharschmldt. After a long chat we decided to go to our hotel. While crossing the street we were arrested by two women officers for jaywalking,Officers Judy Luebke-and Kay McClain. Because we agreed to leave the Island In the morning, thqy did not press charges. After arriving home we both agreed, what a trip ----- a trip never to be forgotten.
