n This is John Cameron Swayze in the ballroom of the Republican Hous Oakfield, Wisconsin. We are gathered here tonight, June 20, 1971, for a reunion of the class of 1961 of Oakfield High School. We appreciate the cooperation of the owner. Senator Peter Bird who is very successful! in politics in Wisconsin. Tonight our master of ceremonies is Corwin Ehrhardt whose orchestra is playing especially for this occasion. Here comes Sandra Nolan. As you all know Sandra is a famous pianist and has her own television show. Her escort is one of our guest stars, the hot rock-and-roll singer and teenage idol, John Kraus. Well, look who’s here—it's the former Joan Liebelt; her husband now owns the Oshkosh B'gosh Manufacturing Company. Looking over the crowd we see Dean Hanna who is teaching at the 0ak-| field School of Agriculture. Donald Plury and Gene Kollman teach there, Stqu.wam ? ,!3 K ° Scho k ’ h° »™ ‘he world f.«- Following close behind Karen is Don Abitz and Jim Moede Thev are Oolbr d Ser i„ ith br n°h In leJr-S » d1LnS „I?oS!a“ ’ Kr“ 8eP °f th“ la“ °f Waltzing in are the scientists Gary Sampson and Lester Cook whose brillant minds have just c ?me up with a scientific formula for chasing girls. And now we have Pauline Denzln, a dance instructor who has been asked to enter the cha-cha contest by Senator Bird Now coming in is Jim Lerch, who owns a few filling stations in Wau-pun and is a part-time chicken-plucker. Harold Franke is coming in be-hind Jim. I understand Harold works for Jim, pumping air into the tires of the cars. Standing by the wayside, seeing that the reunion does not get too rough, are two members of the Oakfield Police Department, John Ryan and I Ken Hiedeman. They have been doing a good job of keeping Oakfield a quiet little town. Now entering through the door is multi-millionaire Bob Heider. Bob owns a long string of beauty salons all over the United States. His wife, the former Sandra Morrison, is Bob’s best paying customer. Sitting over in the corner we see the Worldb Woman Flyweight Wrestling Champion, Patsy Tetzlaff. Next to her is her manager, Carolyn Van Loo, and her wrestling partner Janice Kollman. A taxi just dropped off Kathy Reschke, she owns a reducing salon---- for women!!! Slowly walking across the oailroom floor is JacK Borchardt. He was a former football star at the University of Wisconsin, With him is his lovely wife. Who have we here? Why it is Marge Vande Berg and her Air Force husband. . . . . Talking to her husband, a prominent gas station owner, and chlcKen-plucker is Lynn Zimmerman an experimental driver. She drives and tests two-tone Diue Mercurys on icy roads. , . , Now entering we see Oakfield High School’s principal, Beverly Wendt, and her best Bad student-bouncer Judy Bovee. I hear they have the school well under control. Now by the wayside I see standing the former Dorothy Fisher and her |rich highway engineer husband. Just arriving is Jim Borchardt, a high commander in the U.S. Army. |He lives in California with his actress wife. Here comes Mary Volbright and her husband. Her four children seem |to be giving her quite a bit of trouble. Walking down the hall is Tom Scharschmidt; he owns a filling station |and repair garage in Brownsville. At last struggling in is the great movie star, Joan Schneider. Joan has written a book on how to have a good complexion. The title was, Be Born With It. And now back to-our sponsor Alka-Seltzer for upset stomach.

The stage where Les Palmer and His Orcherstra played was decorated in pink and green. There was a flower garden in the front of the stage.
