CLASS HISTORY Yes! It's me again---Mr, Class History of l94O, people say I'm dry but I'm only what they make me, I begun with the Class of '40 beck in 157 when 24 shy people entered O.H.S. and started their high school years with Mr, Morton , adviser. They elected the following class officers: Jane Day,Presidentg Chester Kottke, Vice presidentg and Lois Leiberg, Sec. E Trees. A succesful financial and very active year was enjoyed, Hilma Ueker, Janice Shriver and Msrjorie Cowles left us during the year, After an enjoyable vacation 23 members returned, Jane Day and Chester Kottke transferred to Fond du Lac, and Mildred And- erson and Robert Thill dropped out, but Harvey Dehring , Ruby Snyder end Emily Richter joined us. Miss Sommerfield was our adviser, and the class officers were as follows: Warren Erdmann, president: Harvey Dehring, Vice president, Raymond Burleton, Sec. M Trees. Now after a second vacation we have lost more classmates, This time Bernice Stumnf trensferred to St. Karv's Springs and Gerald Doyle trensferred to Veupun, while Edward Seyfert joined us after having attended Fond du Lac biph school. Mr. Watkins was our adviser and the class officers consisted of: Warren Erd- mann as presidentg'Lois Leiberg, vice presidentg and Raymond Burleton Sec.MTreas, Our Prom was given with WAnchors Aweigrn as the theme and Lester Cook and Lois Leiberg as our king and queen. Still another vacation und this year Marie Scharschmidt moved to Harkesen and Betty Doyle joined us from Fond du lac. Mr, Heimerl was our adviser, and the class officers of the senior year were: Ruby Snyder, President, George Doyle, Vice presidontg Raymond Burleton, Sec. M Trees. Our class colors are baby blue and coralg our flower is the Gardenia, and our motto WTonight we launch, where do we onchorn, Warren Erdmann is the veledictorien of the class and Lois Leis berg is the salhtitorinn. We were very well represented in all outside activities and wish the same ggbet memories of Q,H,QLY to our successors. ' Verna Iegdfeld
