We think everyone enioyed the play. Besides the actual cast, there are many others who helped with this production. Eddie Dick and Steve Gabriel and Darryl Green assisted backstage with sound effects and lights. Prompters will be Jeannette Tamila and Leaburn Marrs. Other seniors assisted with makeup and tickets. The Stagecraft Club paint- ed our scenery and put up the stage setting, under the direction of Wayne Dorin. Thank you again Tom, and may your club keep rolling along. And Shown Rifle Club hots! One of the more non-academic and yet more practical activities on the campus has been the Rifle Club. Inasmuch as most boys and many girls become hunting enthusiasts in their adult years, the lessons and experience offered by the Club certainly proves their worthwhile character. Basically the Club exists to point out and teach the safe handling and wise use of firearms. Students are offered an opportunity to learn the finer points of marksman- ship and competitive thinking under pressure. Each member can learn at his own pace and earn different ratings as his proficiency and skill merits. The Club also enabled the less athleticallyinclined students to participate and compete in activities during the long winter months. Although we did not reach the finals we were in the games all the way. X-Countr Despite the fact that only eight boys tried out for the team, the O.A.C.S. harriers turned in a very good season. Led by Jim Tyler, who broke the Oakfield course record by a minute five seconds, Mr. Calzi's runners were able to win two out of their three smaller meets. Captained by Tom Greene and Dick Fisher: the team then went on to show up well in the large, multi- school meets they ran in, winding up the season with a fifth place finish in Sectional Competition where .lim Tyler was awarded a shield for finishing fourth. Coach Calzi is optimistic about next year because of the fact that all eight of this year's runners have at least one more year in school. With basketball offering a rather limited out- let to the many students of sports, the club has done much to fill the void be- tween fall and spring athletics. Participation is open to all boys who are interested in keeping physically fit and in developing their bodies. Com- petition includes weight lifting meets within the school and in other areas. Members who have displayed superior ability have entered meets in the neigh- boring areas. Full participation also en- ables members to earn and accrue points toward their letters.
