With a well-informed public being a community asset, the Oakleaf Staff, under the supervision of Miss Caborn, has had a very busy year publishing our school paper, the OAKLEAF. Collecting news, typing, making dummy sheets, stenciling, mimeographing, and assembling the paper give an opportunity to each member to take part in this service activity. This year we put out four issues. The Staff enjoys working hard to publish a paper that all the students like Left to Right: Lorna Walker, Assistant Editor, Lawrence Klotz' boch, Treasurer, Miss Caborn, Advisor, Wesley Waldron, BUSL- ness Manager, Rosemary Fedrigon, Editor, Douglas Paille, As- sistant Business Manager. to read. Meeting on alternate Fridays in the student activity room, many ad- vances were made this year. Amendments were added to the Constitu- tion by a vote of the Council and students. Banners and booster but- tons were sold by the Council to raise money for pictures for the halls. Also, they sold pre-season and pre-game basketball tickets. This year the Council ioined the National Association of Student Councils, attended many County Council meetings, and attended a Western New York Area Student Council Meeting in Leroy. This year's Y.: progress was probably greater than any other year's but progress in the years ahead will be much greater. 43 Government By The People
