With government being an essential to a community, this year's Student Council has expertly governed the O.A.C.S. student body. Meeting on alternate Fridays in the student activity room, many ad- vances were made this year. Amendments were added to the Constitu- tion by a vote of the Council and students. Banners and booster but- tons were sold by the Council to raise money for pictures for the halls. Also, they sold pre-season and pre-game basketball tickets. This year the Council ioined the National Association of Student Councils, attended many County Council meetings, and attended a Western New York Area Student Council Meeting in Leroy. This year's Y.: progress was probably greater than any other year's but progress in the years ahead will be much greater. 43 Government By The People
