Your classes are noted for warmth and interest. Your ready wit has brightened many a dreary day. Your devotion to your students and to those others who are privileged enough to work with you is remarkable. For these and .many other reasons, to you, Miss Ruth Osborn, we dedicate the 1965-1966 Crest.

introduction The construction is finished. The earth is quiet. The time of our challenge has come: the challenge to uphold the promise of the new physical plant. This year has been one of realization and utilization of that growth which has been accomplished in our school. When we entered Oakcrest, our school was suFfer- ing growing pains. Since growing and changing. This are changing also-changing but also socially. Now, we years older, but also newer: then Oakcrest has been is good, for these times not only technologically, and Oakcrest are a few we, newer in ideas and outlooks, Oakcrest, newer in facilities and policies. Both have been searching for the future, both have been successful. This success is, however, just beginning. We must be prepared and willing to change and grow after we leave these familiar halls. The fruition of all of the effort of our high school years will not come now with the diploma but later with' our contributions to society. This year's Crest has attempted to present the last, though not final, chapter in this saga of Oakcrest as. we, the class of Zeta '66, meet the Challenge of Change. ' 1' SSM
