U? A different view of the varsity hockey team, in- cluding underclassmen Mary Doherty and Cathy Carmen. hockey Windy afternoon practices, five laps of the track, close games, and lots of fun . . . such are the memories of the 1965-'66 hockey team. Under the able direction of Mrs. Susan Boisvert and Mrs. Helen Bolnick, the team went on to a fine record against tough competition. With several members planning to attend hockey camp next year, it looks like future Oakcrest hockey teams will achieve even finer records. Hockey practices sure are tough, she said, as she lolled in the warm fall sunshine. Head coach Mrs. Boisvert and as- iunior varsity hockey team SlSTBl'1T MVS. BOll'1lClC. What ball? I don't see a ball? Who sees a ball? girls' bcxsketbcil l Ari extensive basketball program at Oakcrest this year gave over 175 girls a chance to play this favored winter sport intramurally. lt allowed the more skillful players to form an All-Star team and com- pete against area schools. lt also gave interested girls the opportunity to get experience in officiating. All aspects of the program were quite successful, large- ly due to the fine organization and coach- ing by Miss Rackoski and the other gym teachers. The All-Star team played a full sched- ule against highly ranked competition. Their record was not as spectacular as had been hoped for, but the fine overall pro- gram is expected to produce better and better girls' basketball teams. officiating club left to right: Linda McDonald, Mary Ann Gatto, Mrs Susan Boisvert, advisory Leona McLeod, Linda Oliva
