g.o.o. Every girl at Oakcrest is a member of the Girls' Athletic Association, the focal point of all athletic activities for girls. This year the G.A.A. added new activities to its usual function of awarding points to the participants in varsity and intramural sports. It presented an assembly, G.A.A.'s Wide World of Sports, staged a very successful mother-daughter activity night, and sponsored a scholarship fund for girls planning to maior in physical education. In short, the G.A.A. endeavored to stimulate interest in girls' athletics as a means of promoting character, leadership, and friendship on the part of the participants. g.a.a. officers left to right: Mrs. Helen Bolnick, faculty advisor, Sue Kaufman, secretary, Jackie Storhaug, vice-president, Peggy Reed, presi- dent, Betty Jo Barrett, treasurer. g.a.a. board left to right: Karen O'Shea, Linda Ciaba- toni, Cathy LeCompte, Cathy Lewman, Peg- gy Reed, Jackie Storhaug, Betty Jo Barrett, Sue Kaufman, Goldy Lieberman, Sharon Suprun, Janet Phy, Rosie Benson, Joyce Hires, Dottie Getty. at it Q- i it it z modern donce fl? Henry W. Denmead Mr. Denmead has been with our school since its inception in 1960. As President of the Board of Education, he has watched it grow and has given it many a needed boost when the going was rough. Now the time has come to honor this man who has done so much for Oakcrest. As a symbol of our deep appreciation to this outstanding individual, the new gymnasium addition has been dedi- cated to Mr. Henry W. Denmead.

U? A different view of the varsity hockey team, in- cluding underclassmen Mary Doherty and Cathy Carmen. hockey Windy afternoon practices, five laps of the track, close games, and lots of fun . . . such are the memories of the 1965-'66 hockey team. Under the able direction of Mrs. Susan Boisvert and Mrs. Helen Bolnick, the team went on to a fine record against tough competition. With several members planning to attend hockey camp next year, it looks like future Oakcrest hockey teams will achieve even finer records.
