track There was a large turnout this year for our fastest spring sport, track. Along with the old faithfuls who competed last year, many new students who show great promise in all the phases of track and tield events are participating. Coaches Harry Ackerman, Richard Glenn, and Ralph Platt have every reason to expect a fine season. Henry W. Denmead Mr. Denmead has been with our school since its inception in 1960. As President of the Board of Education, he has watched it grow and has given it many a needed boost when the going was rough. Now the time has come to honor this man who has done so much for Oakcrest. As a symbol of our deep appreciation to this outstanding individual, the new gymnasium addition has been dedi- cated to Mr. Henry W. Denmead.
