gymnostics One of the most exacting of all athletic forms is gymnastics. It is an exciting and beautiful sport that demands near-perfection on the part of the competitor. Oakcrest's gymnastics program, under the direction of Mr. Ralph Platt and Mr. Robert Walker, has given each student an opportunity to participate in one of three capacities: for physical exercise, as a member of the exhibitional gymnastic team, and as a member of the men's or women's varsity competition team. Of these, the exhibitional team is most popular. It gives many demonstra- tions in the area, displaying skill in many fields. The climax of the year is the annual home show given at Oakcrest. In the future, Oakcrest's gymnasts are sure to continue the fine tradition which they have begun. l men's competitive team left to right: Robert Walker, Coach, Howard Winters, Art Rementer, Norman Wimberg, Pat Higgins, Ralph Hundley, Jim Irwin, Bob Feldeisen, Jim Kerr, Harry Calvino, Bruce Bennecoff. - The rings put Harry Calvino on his mettle. ls this how Roy Rogers got his start?
