Barbara Bingham, Oakcrest's first ex- ' change student, has spent an exciting year in Germany, but is happy to be h ome' Mr. Panarelle congratulates Jack Hamilton, after the announce ment that Jack was Oakcrest's current exchange student. On July 4, i962 the late President Kennedy made his own famous Declaration of interdependence in which he acknowledged the close ties between the United States and the other nations ot the world. Our exchange program is our memorial to a great man. Barbara Bingham has returned to Oakcrest after a year in Westercelle, Germany, and has related her experiences to the entire Oakcrest student body. This year Jack Hamilton is studying in Germany. He is enioying his stay with a German family and is making many friends. We are proud to have him represent Oakcrest. Jack's counterpart at Oakcrest is Doris Ledlein, an honor student from Realschule, Westercelle. Doris is an excellent student in America, too, and speaks English fluently. She is certainly a pleasant asset to Oakcrest as she conveys a glimpse of the German way of lite. Mitsuko Konishi, our student from Japan, is spending her second year at Oakcrest. She will graduate as a member of Zeta '66, Everyone who knows Miko will always remember her friendliness and her charm. a1.zssnees:: ,, ,M . fl. golf club Golf is becoming a major f American sport with the ' number of participants and viewers constantly growing. ln the Golf Club interested students learn fundamentals of the game, and also re- ceive enioyment from gain- ing an insight into this sport.
