The Oakcrest Drama Club does its part to supply that need. The main purpose of the Society is to extend the member's knowledge and under- standing of his community and state. A public speoking ond debate club The Oakcrest Public Speaking and Debate Club offers the principles of debate, discussion, public speaking, radio, ' and television. These means of expres- sion are becoming of increasing impor- tance in this world dominated by the mass media. The club is designed to provide significant speaking experiences for high school students and considers many diFterent approaches in the scope of its program.
