octivities Man does not live by bread alone, nor does the student learn by books alone. The secluded high school student is missing a vital part of his education- a knowledge of human relations. Oakcrest's clubs are places where individuals can learn cooperation toward common goals: enlightenment, service, or just plain fun. student council Student Council, under the supervision of Mr. Fineran, is the backbone of the Oakcrest student body. The Student Council officers, with the help of the homeroom representatives and volunteers, plan and direct activities for the entire year. The most important purpose of Student Council is to promote school spirit, encourage leadership, and develop character. The most important activities of this year have been the Keep-Your-School-Clean campaign and the annual spring talent show. fs Mr. John Fineran udent Council Advisor student council officers From left: Pat Golini, Vice-President, Scott McGuire, President, Sharon Davis Treasurer Ann Furst Recording Secretary, Sue Shkolnik, Corresponding Secretary, Leon Matthews Assistant Treasurer First row, from left: Kathy Hahn, Barbara Fink, Michael Taub, Sharon Davis, Leon Matthews, Sue Shkolnik, Scott McGuire, Pat Golini, Ann Furst, Tom Karrer, Joan Dermanoski.
