VETERANS DAY November 11, 1987. On a snowy moming the cadet corps joined the nation in honoring Amencan's servicemen who gave their lives in the defense of our country. The Battalion Commander, Gantry Griffin, places a wreath at the monument for ORMA cadets who died in World War ll and Vietman. A firing squad consisting of J. Hamilton, D. Morgan and R. GRADUATION: the close to another year! Friday evening is the time for the Baccalaureate service in the Chapel. Lt. Myra Blackbum was the seniors chosen speaker. Saturday moming ends the anticipation for Seniors, their parents and the underclasses as well, as we all come together for the commencement exercises. All the speeches are made, final awards presented, and then, finally, the diplomas are awarded with a handshake and a smart salute! The old Battalion Commander passes the saber to the hopeful new commander. Everyone forms up at the flagpole for the last time. Taps are slowly played as tears come to many eyes, then . . .
