cs 'xxx Fine Arts Mr Curtis White Mr Whites experience of being a newspaper reporter before becoming a lournalism teacher is a great benefit to his students Besides teaching iournalism Mr White is adviser of The Oak Leaf and sponsor of Quill and Scroll Mr White is an avid fan of all sports and he enioys reading and dancing Mr John Hamby Whatever is going an in Oak Ridge High School IS sure to find the Art Department participating with posters scenery or some other essential piece of artistry Mr Hornby IS one of our instructors in this department Hs interests tke form in hs hobbies painting and photography 'Nm-Q, Mr. Irving Grossman Teething art keeps Mr. Grossman busy at Oak Ridge High School. He also spent six weeks of the past summer in an art program. He received his education at Teachers' College, Kutztown, Penn- sylvaniag and Teachers' College, Columbia Univer- sity. His hobbies and personal interests include gardening, bridge, pinochle and, of course, painting. Mr. Gilbert Scarbrough Mr. Scarbrough, or Prof, as his students know him, is the director of our Oak Ridge High Sfhool Wildcat Band and the choir, He also teaches theory and harmony, His main interests center around music and reading, but he also eniays sports. Mr. Scarbrough traveled in Hawaii, Guam, and throughout the Pacific area during World War II.
