Cn November l3, I965 The voTers oT Qak Park and River l:oresT approved a nine million dollar Bond lssue, wiTh ap- proximaTely six million allowed Tor building a large addiTion To The school, and Three million allocaTed To The renovaTion and improvemenT oT pre-senT TaciliTies. Work on The new addiTion, which will be builT in The area beTween The presenT main building and The gyms, is sched- uled To begin in SepTember, I966. Every deparTmenT in school will beneTiT Trom The building and The remodeling. A new audiTorium will seaT l700 people, and a sTudenlT caTeTeria will have a seaTing capaciTy oT l200. RecenTly a CiTizens' CommiTTee ThaT sTudied probable school enrollmenT Tor The nexT Ten years predicTed an increase Trom our presenT 3300 To 4500, or even 5300. lT will be The proud responsibiliTy oT The Board oT Educa- Tion To keep The gualily oT educaTion high during This period oi expansion.
