Mr. Rakow was a poeT in his own righT, and auThor oT a book of poems called Inside My Skin. l-le was also The ediTor oT a collecTion oT poeTry, Lyric Verse. InTer- esTed in all oT The ArTs. Mr. Rakow was a c:ollecTor oT modern painTings, liThographs, and rare ediTions oT books. l'le shared These colleCTions wiTh Triends who visiTed him and Mrs. Rakow in Their home. Skill wiTh words and a knowledge oT ArT were reTlecTed in Mr. Rakow's work as adviser To CresT. The magazines he advised showed his Touch, Tor They were always Typographically pleasing and inTeresTing.
